Pomegranate Skin Tincture – Tintura de piel Granada

Our Pomegranate Skin Tincture is made from the thick outer rind of ripe pomegranates grown on our own trees at Living Ground. The peel is where the fruit concentrates many of its protective compounds, including tannins, ellagic acid, gallic acid, punicalagins and other polyphenols. These compounds support the intestinal barrier, microbial balance, tissue resilience and the deeper terrain from which healthy skin is built.

Pomegranate peel has a long traditional history of use for digestive cleansing and parasite protection. What makes it especially interesting to us is that it does not need to be understood simply as something that attacks unwanted organisms. Its polyphenols interact directly with the gut microbiome, where microbes transform them into smaller compounds such as urolithins.
