Welcome to the Living Ground Digital Library.

These books were created to support self-reliance through practical knowledge, observation, and a deeper understanding of the living relationships between soil, microbes, plants, food, herbs, natural medicines and the human body. Current and upcoming titles include The Living Ground of Ecuador, The Inner Garden, The Soil Microbiome Field Guide, Live Blood Guide, and additional field guides and educational resources connected to the Living Ground Project.

Many of these books began as field notes, workshop manuals, teaching material, and observations developed through the gardens, compost systems, kitchens, classrooms, and landscapes surrounding Living Ground.
