Milk Thistle – Cardo Mariano

Description

A hardy plant that thrives with little care, milk thistle grows well in poor or dry soils and prefers full sun. Sow the seeds directly in the garden after the last frost, spacing them apart to allow for their tall stalks and wide leaves. Once established, the plants require minimal watering and will reseed themselves if flower heads are left to mature.

Una planta resistente que prospera con pocos cuidados, el cardo mariano crece bien en suelos pobres o secos y prefiere pleno sol. Siembra las semillas directamente en el huerto después de la última helada, dejando espacio suficiente para sus tallos altos y hojas anchas. Una vez establecida, la planta requiere riego mínimo y se volverá a sembrar sola si se dejan madurar las cabezas florales.
