Crimson Basil Seeds (Cardinal) / Semillas de Albahaca Crimson

A highly aromatic green-leaved basil distinguished by its abundant deep-purple flowers.   These are on of my favourites.  The leaves have a strong, fragrant basil aroma and are excellent for fresh culinary use, teas, sauces, herbal vinegars and infused oils. The striking purple flower spikes make it especially attractive to pollinators and add beautiful color to the garden while the foliage remains green. Sow the seeds shallowly in warm, fertile, well-drained living soil and keep evenly moist during germination. It prefers warmth, full sun to light partial shade and regular harvesting. Pinching the growing tips encourages a fuller plant, while allowing some stems to flower creates an abundant display of deep-purple blooms.

Una albahaca de hojas verdes, muy aromática, que se distingue por sus abundantes flores de color morado intenso. Las hojas tienen un fuerte y agradable aroma a albahaca y son excelentes para usar frescas en la cocina, en tés, salsas, vinagres herbales y aceites infusionados. Sus llamativas espigas de flores moradas atraen a los polinizadores y aportan un hermoso color al jardín mientras el follaje permanece verde. Siembre las semillas superficialmente en suelo vivo, fértil, cálido y con buen drenaje, manteniendo una humedad uniforme durante la germinación. Prefiere calor, pleno sol o semisombra ligera y cosechas regulares. Pellizcar las puntas de crecimiento ayuda a formar una planta más tupida, mientras que dejar algunos tallos florecer produce una abundante exhibición de flores moradas.
