Papaya Seeds / Semillas de Papaya

A fast-growing tropical fruit plant valued for its sweet fruit and nutritional profile. Ripe papaya provides vitamin C, carotenoids, folate, fiber and potassium, while the plant is also known for naturally occurring proteolytic enzymes, including papain, particularly concentrated in the green fruit and latex. Papaya has a long history of traditional food and herbal use throughout the tropics, especially in relation to digestion. Sow seeds in rich, loose, biologically active soil and keep warm and moderately moist during germination. Papaya loves full sun, warmth, organic matter and excellent drainage. Growing several plants increases the opportunity for successful pollination and fruit production.

This papaya variety has self seeded on my property and I have constant supply.   Birds love them too.

La papaya tiene una larga historia de uso alimenticio y herbal en las regiones tropicales, especialmente relacionado con la digestión. Siembre las semillas en suelo vivo, fértil, suelto y biológicamente activo y mantenga calor y humedad moderada durante la germinación. La papaya disfruta de pleno sol, calor, materia orgánica y excelente drenaje. Cultivar varias plantas aumenta las posibilidades de una buena polinización y producción de frutos.
