Description
These seeds were grown and harvested here in our own Living Ground gardens in Vilcabamba.
Verbascum ‘Sugar Plum’ is a beautiful compact mullein with low rosettes of textured green leaves and tall flower spikes covered in rich plum-purple blooms. It is quite different from the large wild mulleins, staying smaller and more suited to garden beds, borders and mixed plantings.
It loves sun and well-drained soil and flowers over a long period. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and other garden visitors, while the upright flowering stems are also lovely for cutting.
Removing older flower spikes encourages the plant to continue producing new blooms.
